“God is a righteous judge, And He is NOT angry at all times.” Ps. 7:11 YLT.
I didn’t write this part:
“We are born into a sin-cursed world and we all personally choose to sin. Sin separates us from God and it carries a death-penalty that must be paid. Our sins only provoke a bigger problem: and that’s the wrath of God. The Bible says, “He is angry with the wicked every day.” He’s angry and He’s not going away, and there is nothing we can do about it. It doesn’t matter who is for us, if God is against us.”-Mark Spence
Did this guy forget that the death penalty has been payed?
This is complete garbage.
This kind of sin consciousness puts a smile on the devils face. (also the pope).
The original language behind “angry” in Ps. 7:11 is not just perturbed or frustrated, it’s more like completely filled with wrath, as in foaming at the mouth pissed off.
How would you feel about being characterized as being this angry every day?
Even I don’t get this angry very often.
I was furious to hear Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical research proudly admitting to selling the body parts of aborted children the other day.
But as far as God is concerned she is already taken care of.
All men have been taken care of. Two thousand years ago Jesus said,
“NOW is THE judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world shall be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will drag ALL MEN to Myself” Jn. 12:31-32
Yes, “drag” as in, drag you in before the judge, so we got the fullest extent of the law, Death.
Yes. DEATH as in execution; the wages of sin was paid at the cross.
So many religious people are going to be surprised to find that they did not escape death at the cross. And that THE judgment is history in God.
The Church consists of those who have already passed through the Judgment.
“The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Pe. 4:17
The thing is that God is well pleased because of the judgment of the cross.
He has never had any pleasure in man but because Jesus crucified all men and completely satisfied the wrath of the Father. So that now all men died in Christ.
“The love of Christ constrains us, having judged this, that if One died for all, then the all died. and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised.” 2 Cor.5:14-15 LITV.
GOD IS WELL PLEASED.
So why do most of our English bibles say God is angry?
Because your bible has been corrupted by people like Mr. sin consciousness.
As far as the original language in Ps 7:11, here is the skinny…
“I have judged it of consequence to trace this verse through all the ancient versions in order to be able to ascertain what is the true reading, where the evidence on one side amounts to a positive affirmation, ‘God IS angry every day,’ and, on the other side, to as positive a negation, ‘He is NOT angry every day.’ The mass of evidence supports the latter reading. The Chaldee first corrupted the text by making the addition, ‘with the wicked,’ which our translators have followed, though they have put the words into italics, as not being in the Hebrew text. Several of the versions have rendered it in this way: ‘God judgeth the righteous, and is NOT angry every day.” The true sense may be restored thus; el with the vowel tsere signifies God; el, the same letters with the point pathach, signifies not. Several of the versions have read in this way: ‘God judgeth the righteous, and is NOT angry every day.’ He is not always chiding, nor is he daily punishing, notwithstanding the daily wickedness of man; hence the ideas of patience and long-suffering which several of the versions introduce.”-Dr. Adam Clarke
The Septuagint is a Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures. When the Jews themselves translated these verses they wrote,
“God is a righteous judge, strong and long-suffering; not bringing forth his anger every day.”
Some so called scholars frown on the Septuagint (especially the KJV only people). But there is no truth in it.
Archer and Chirichigno list 340 places where the New Testament directly cites the Septuagint but only 33 places where it cites from the Hebrew/Masoretic Text”
The New Testament writers directly quoted the Septuagint over the Hebrew ten to one!
This Greek text was good enough for Jesus.
He was quoting directly from the Septuagint when He says,
“Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, hypocrites, as it hath been written, This people with the lips doth honour Me, and their heart is far from Me; and in vain do they worship Me, teaching teachings, commandments of men’ (Is.29:13 SEP) for, having put away the command of God, you hold to the tradition of men.”
Mk. 7:6-8 YLT
So also it needs to said of most of America’s mainstream sin conscience secular christianity…
GOD IS WELL PLEASED!
“When God WAS PLEASED, “He having separated me from my mother’s womb” and having called through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him” Gal. 1:15-16 LITV.
Father, show us this same Son that you see.
