“We walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Cor. 5:7
Looking directly into Sonlight it will destroy your seeing.
No one just finds God or figures out the Truth.
“No one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and the One to whom the Son wills to reveal Him” Mt. 11:27 LITV.
This foundation, this rock is a different kind of knowing. It is His understanding. It does not come through the gate of flesh and blood. It comes from above.
“Surely every man walketh habitually in an image: surely they are disquieted in vain” Ps. 39:6
So “To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” Isaiah 53:1
The answer is always Jesus.
When we come to accept that we know nothing.
Then, we have begun.
We experience absolutely nothing of the truth apart from Jesus Christ.
“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him” Jn. 1:18.
He is square One. He is the Person of the Truth. The Light is IN Him. Light is exclusive to the members of His Body, His flesh and blood. And yet, there are so many in whom He lives that still have not seen Him.
“God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth” 1 Jn. 1:5-6
It is light reflected from objects into our eyes that enables us to see.
Your eyes can be perfectly formed and without the light still suffer from blindness.
It’s called walking in darkness.
“Without vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18
Man has developed elaborate coping mechanisms for walking in darkness. I am talking about Institutions of theology, christian religion and psychology for example.
The answer is The Light.
His Light. Him.
So eyes have no sight in themselves. There is no vision until they are filled with the Light.
So in a way it is not I but the Light that sees.
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye” Ps. 32:8
He is the light of seeing but also He is the One to be seen in the Light.
“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship One with another” 1 Jn. 1:7.
When we begin to experience true sight, there comes a necessity of turning away from the things that the light illuminates, to see the One saying “I AM the Light of the world” Jn. 8:12, Jn. 9:5.
He is more than the light of the world. He is the object of reality. This is not really about obtaining revelation. It is about relationship. It is about knowing The Lord.
