Walking By Faith

“We walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Cor. 5:7

Looking directly into Sonlight it will destroy your seeing.

No one just finds God or figures out the Truth.

“No one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and the One to whom the Son wills to reveal Him” Mt. 11:27 LITV.

This foundation, this rock is a different kind of knowing. It is His understanding. It does not come through the gate of flesh and blood. It comes from above.

Surely every man walketh habitually in an image: surely they are disquieted in vain” Ps. 39:6

So “To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” Isaiah 53:1

The answer is always Jesus.

When we come to accept that we know nothing.

Then, we have begun.

We experience absolutely nothing of the truth apart from Jesus Christ.

“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him” Jn. 1:18.

He is square One. He is the Person of the Truth. The Light is IN Him. Light is exclusive to the members of His Body, His flesh and blood. And yet, there are so many in whom He lives that still have not seen Him.

God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth” 1 Jn. 1:5-6

Consider this:

It is light reflected from objects into our eyes that enables us to see.

Your eyes can be perfectly formed and without the light still suffer from blindness.

It’s called walking in darkness.

Without vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

Man has developed elaborate coping mechanisms for walking in darkness. I am talking about Institutions of theology, christian religion and psychology for example.

The answer is The Light.
His Light. Him.

So eyes have no sight in themselves. There is no vision until they are filled with the Light.

So in a way it is not I but the Light that sees.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye” Ps. 32:8

He is the light of seeing but also He is the One to be seen in the Light.

If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship One with another” 1 Jn. 1:7.

When we begin to experience true sight, there comes a necessity of turning away from the things that the light illuminates, to see the One saying “I AM the Light of the world” Jn. 8:12, Jn. 9:5.

He is more than the light of the world. He is the object of reality. This is not really about obtaining revelation. It is about relationship. It is about knowing The Lord.

Spiritual Understanding

“From the day in which we heard, we do not cease praying on your behalf, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” Col 1:9

The purpose of spiritual understanding is relationship with God

We know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal Life.” (1 Jn. 5:20)

Revelation knowledge creates a new heart in you. A heart, in Whom is the judgment of all things in the Light. He is come as the standard up against all the judgments of a natural man that are in accord to external appearances of the five senses.

You then were darkness, but now light in the Lord; walk as children of light” Eph 5:8.

At one time we were darkness. The first man is darkness. this is more than a good man who just needs enlightened. He is saying death is the answer. The death of the man ruled by the darkness of an academic understanding that is learned through flesh and blood, that is through the five senses.

But as we know Him, we see that we have died with Christ. and that we have been risen out from that creation in the Body of Christ. in this One New Man we are made to experience the light of the Truth. It is “in Christ” that we begin to experience something of the reign of light.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom” Jn. 3:3

The reason You are born of God is to know The Lord in a completely new kind of knowing.

The five senses have been represented by Him in the testimony by five kings that were crucified and buried in the tomb in chapter ten of the book of Joshua.

So it was through the cross.

The people put their feet on their necks in the light of that Day.

It was a very special Day. At evening time there was light. It was about living above the natural realm. Above the five senses.

J R R Tolkien borrowed this imagery when he wrote about the death of the dragon and defeat of five armies. It is about the victory that was won over the reign of the realm of the flesh.

O LORD our God, other lords beside Thee have had dominion over us: but by Thee only we make mention of thy name” Isaiah 26:13

This was not the only defeat of five armies and five kings in the Bible.

Abraham also “led captivity captive” when he defeated five kings at the appearing of Melchizedek.

The rule of the realm of flesh and blood is seen to be defeated in the coming of Melchizedek.

Melchizededek is Come

I have been reading through the Dead Sea Scrolls. I am surprised to learn how Christ-centered the Jews were in the generation before His coming. There were commentaries in the scrolls that show how Israel’s Messianic expectations were central to the way they interpreted scripture. Reading through their commentaries on the Psalms, they are so clear that it is all about The Anointed One. Here is an excerpt from a text called “the Coming of Melchizedek:

“Melchize]dek, who will return them there and will proclaim to them will proclaim to them liberty, forgiving them [the wrong-doings] of all their iniquities.
And the Day of Atonement is the e[nd of the] tenth [Ju]bilee, when all the Sons of [Light] and the men of the lot of Mel[chi]zedek will be atoned for. [And] a statute concerns them [to prov]ide them with their rewards. For this is the Day of the Year of favor for Melchizedek. [And H]e will, by His strength, judge the holy ones of God, executing judgement as it is written concerning him in the Songs of David.” 11Q13 Melch.

The writer also says that “Melchizedek is Elohim”
And Melchizedek is described as a corporate Man to which a people would be allotted, and He is also referred to as “the Prince” Who was to come at the end of Daniel’s seventy weeks. David wrote,

Yahweh has sworn, and does not repent, `Thou art a priest forever, According to the order of Melchizedek.” Ps. 110:4

Melchizedek was more than a historic figure that Abraham paid tithes to, he was a testimony of

Christ in you the Hope of Glory. Col. 1:28

In the eighth chapter of Leviticus we read about how the priests were ordained in a ritual that pointed toward Christ crucified.

And Moses taketh of its blood, and putteth on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot” Lev. 8:23

The testimony points toward a crucified order. He is more than a Priest with external rituals, more than a partial testimony of being crucified with Christ. The natural priesthood pointed toward a spiritual order. The order of Melchizedek is this Spiritual Priesthood. It is the ministry of Christ alone living in His Body the Church.

The end of the Aaronic priesthood was clearly predicted in the days of Eli.

I said indeed that your house and your father’s house should walk before Me until the age. But now Yahweh says, Far be it from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable. Behold, days come when I shall cut off your arms, and the arms of your father’s house,” 1 Sam. 2:30-31

Eli’s father was Aaron. The coming of Melchizedek is the end of the natural priesthood. Look at how this faithful priest was to be the person of the Resurrection and the Life, endless Life.

And I shall raise up for Myself a faithful priest. He shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul. And I shall build for Him a sure house” 1 Sam. 2:3

Even though seeing Him affects our view of the natural realm, the revelation of Jesus Christ is more than a new lens though which we view all things. He is a person, a new heart, He is Life; One New Man. A Man separate from the peoples of the earth. Knowing Him does not come from studying words written on paper. It is by seeing the center of the Father’s own view, “The apple of His eye” Deut. 32:10. Seeing Him puts the world in its proper perspective, but the realm of flesh and blood is so peripheral to Christ.

“May it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” Gal. 6:14.

The only way you can come out of the world is in receiving The Fathers view of Him. It is through knowing Jesus Christ.

The New Man is Come

Jesus Christ is now One New Man.

He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that He might create in Himself One New Man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.” Eph. 2:14-17

By creating in Himself One New Man, He is the New Creation when He rose out from the dead body of Adam. He left the old creation judged. Jesus. Jesus Christ is this One New Man living in a people. The Spirit of Christ is the New Wine. the Body of Christ is the New Wine skin.

John’s disciples came and asked Him.

Why do John’s disciples fast often, and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but those close to You eat and drink? But He said to them,

You are not able to make the sons of the bride chamber fast while the bridegroom is with them. But days will come, even when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then in those days they will fast.
And He also told a parable to them: No one puts a piece of a new garment on an old garment; otherwise both the new will tear, and the old does not match the piece from the new.
And no one puts new wine into old skins; otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be poured out, and the skins will perish. But new wine is to be put into new skins, and both are preserved together. And no one drinking old wine immediately desires new; for he says, The old is better” Lk.5:33-39

Jesus is the Person of the Resurrection. He is the New Wineskin and the New wine is His Spirit. the New wineskin is the body of Christ, the Church. He is come as the removal and replacement of the old man in the old wineskin.

Not all of John the Baptist’s disciples followed Jesus. John’s disciples were bothered by what they judged to be slack discipline of Jesus and His disciples. They questioned, How could He possibly be The Christ when they ate and drank wine? The foundation of liberty you have is right here. His answer tells us that there is just no reason to spend sweat, time or treasure trying to improve the righteousness of old man.

It is for nothing!

Jesus Christ is your righteousness before the Father, and there is none more perfect. An external righteousness may benefit our relationships among men but to God it is as vain as lipstick on a corpse.

So what did He mean when He said “when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then in those days they will fast?”

This was “a little while” between the cross and His coming. When He was absent. If you are born from above, He is not absent. You are come to this marriage union In Christ. There is no more separation. The New Man is Come! This is no time for fasting or mourning, but,

Let us rejoice and let us exult, and we will give glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb came, and His wife prepared herself” Rev. 19:7 LITV

“And where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is freedom” 2 Cor. 3:17 LITV.

“All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful to me, but I will not be ruled by any.” 1Cor. 6:12.

Truly, all things are pure to the pure, but to the ones having been defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience has been defiled.” 1 Titus 1:15

Are you knowing this purity and freedom in Christ in a way that you can give Him to others?

Jesus is One New Man. He is new in many ways. He alone is Spirit, Soul and Body. He is the Resurrection and the Life.

Are you given to this One Who is the New Creation?

A Body Thou didst prepare for me, in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, Thou didst not delight, then I said, Behold , I come, (in a volume of the scroll it has been written concerning me,) to do, Thy will O God’ Heb. 10:6-7

Have You Seen Him?

When I saw Him, I did fall at His feet as dead,” Rev. 1:17 YLT.

Seeing Him is like catching a falling star.

You cannot hold it.

It consumes everything it touches. It becomes the judgment of the whole world. The judgment of the Truth. It shows the world of Adam to be a lie. It consumes the whole realm of flesh,

it passes away.

And He placed His right hand upon me, saying to me, `Be not afraid; I AM the First and the Last” Rev. 1:17 YLT.

In seeing Him, I see the One Who has satisfied all the fullness of God, the One who has carried all through to His goal, the end. Brought into the seventh Day rest.

He Sat down.

Carried into the holiest of all. In Him, granted rest on His throne Rev. 3:21.
Upon the mercy seat, the one place of rest in the Fathers house.

You are come here in Christ, our eternal inheritance.

Seeing Him, I see the end of all pilgrimage.

Having been brought through Jordan’s water in seeing Him,

WHEN YOU SEE the ark of the covenant of YHWH your God, and the priests, and the Levites bearing it, then you shall move from your place and shall go after it” Joshua 3:3

He is the true land of rest, “filled with good cities, which you have not built, and houses full of every good thing which you have not filled, and wells dug which you did not dig, vineyards and oliveyards which you did not plant; and you shall eat and be satisfied. Deut.6:10

He is both the house and the builder of it. He is greater than Solomon by His Father he has defeated death, and cast out the prince of this world, displacing the king of Jebusites, the last of all the enemies, and there, in that threshing floor, He has become our true Altar of which those who serve external religion have no right to eat.

The foundation of the house of God is where the enemy has been dispossessed completely.

In Him the struggle has ended.

Here in the temple of the Lamb, Zion is raised up, in His resurrection, far above the hills, above all natural mountains, and the nations are flowing in.

And the nations have been made an offering “As the sons of Israel bring the offering in a clean vessel to the house of YHWH. And I will also take some of them for the priests, for the Levites, says YHWH” Isaiah 66: 20-21

The clean vessel you are offered in is Jesus Christ. You are clean because of the vessel in Whom you have been placed.

“a wolf hath sojourned with a lamb, And a leopard with a kid doth lie down, And calf, and young lion, and fatling are together, And a little youth is leader over them. And cow and bear do feed, Together lie down their young ones, And a lion as an ox eateth straw” Isaiah 11:6-7 YLT

What was once unclean and clean both eat together and in this the lion and the Lamb lay down together.

His feet have stood on the mount of olives and that grave yard is now divided in two, Zechariah 14:4.

He is the earthquake that divides between the living and the dead.

He has prepared the place and He has become this place,
and there is no other.

the staves have been removed.”
