You or Him?

“We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord” 2 Cor 4:5.

The Spirit of Jesus Christ in you is your covenant with God.

“And I–this is My covenant with them, says YHWH: My Spirit.” Isaiah 59:21.

The Spirit of Jesus Christ in you is eternal Light and Life. He is Spiritual light. He is not seen with natural sight, because God is Spirit.

“I give You for a covenant of the people, for a Light of the Nations” Isaiah 42:6.

In the beginning, first, there was darkness and then second, there was a Spiritual light. The first darkness became a testimony of man’s darkened understanding Eph 4:18.  The darkness represented what would become the first age; The old covenant. The light that shined out of darkness when he said “let there be light,” represented the Second covenant, Jesus Christ in you. He is the New Covenant. The original light was the light of the Truth creating this realm. This is now fulfilled in Christ. Do you remember how God did not create physical light until the fourth day when He created the sun, moon, and stars Gen. 1:14-19? Natural light is not the light of the New Creation. This light can only be seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

“They shall see His face, and His name is upon their foreheads, and night shall not be there, and they have no need of a lamp and light of a sun, because the Lord God gives them light, and they shall reign—to the age of the ages.” Rev 22:4-5.

This passage is not a description of the after life. It is a description of seeing Jesus in you as the New Covenant.

It is now.

David wrote:

“The stone which the builders rejected is become the Head cornerstone. This is YHWH’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is THE DAY which YHWH has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psa 118:23-25

Look again at what is being said here. This day is not a day in time. The stone the builders rejected is about Christ crucified and the cross. The Day of the Lord is the Light of Christ shining in you. The day of the Lord began when He was rejected, crucified and raised up from among the dead. David had eyes to see this day and he rejoiced in it long before it was fulfilled in time.

Jesus told us that the light that He is, is an internal light. He said,

“Watch, then, that the light in you is not darkness.  If, then, your whole body is light, not having any part dark, all will be light, as when the lamp enlightens you with its shining” Luke 11:33-36.

The day of the Lord is not a light to be observed with natural sight. No man knows this day or the hour because this Day can only be witnessed in your heart.

“God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” 2 Cor.4:6

Are you looking for a natural manifestation of the day of the Lord? Or are you walking in the Eternal light that has shined out of darkness? He is the light of the world, the Light of Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. If you are born of God, the Light that He is, is revealed “in” your heart. And His coming is in you, as it is written,

“When He comes to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all those who believe in that Day, because our testimony to you was believed.” 2 Thess. 1:10.

In Peters second epistle his final message to the Church is about growing in the knowledge of Christ, growing up into a specific place, an inheritance. He said,

“Increase in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; to Him is the glory both now, and to the Day of the age! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 YLT.

“The Day of the age” is living in the light of the New Covenant age, it is seen when the Father reveals His Son in you. This is Spiritual knowledge we are to be growing in.

There is a false christianity.  It is of man. It is an external religion. It begins with the notion that God is A spirit.  It declares that Adam was also spiritual. That man was created with spiritual life in the beginning, but when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, his human spirit died. It follows that spiritual birth is God restoring man to his spiritual state. So Jesus came to fix man and his world. In this religion, man is the one God has in view.

This is the wrong man and the wrong world.

This superficial christianity depicts the death of Christ to be only a covering for our sins. (It is that, but He is so much more) The resurrection of Jesus is not an example of what man can achieve. The false view teaches that Jesus’ resurrection on the third day was only a foretaste of a future general resurrection where we are supposed physically come out of graves in amazing new bodies and Jesus will return in His flesh again.

It is taught that this event will be the day of the Lord.

All this is going to happen on a certain day in time, in a way that all men will be able to witness it with their eyes. It is accepted that then God will destroy this world and move everyone to a new planet after that. And so nothing is finished until you see all this happen before your eyes. This christendom sees itself in a kind of limbo until Jesus comes back from being absent.

It is held in external religion that nothing is actually “true” until it can be tangibly be seen. The natural man will always have this backward.  He only accepts something spiritual “so that” his natural things can have some remedy.  “But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.” 1 Cor. 15 :46. The hope of false worship is not Christ Himself but what He can do for us. They have the wrong creation in view. This is out of order, and in a twisted way, is an expression of unbelief, because it is a looking for God to to do what He has already accomplished in His coming. God has fully effected the natural for the testimony of Jesus Christ, “so that” Christ is the end and goal of all. Jesus is God’s ALL.

If you start wrong you will always end wrong.

“God is Spirit” John 4:24 ESV, CLV, Nestle, Wuest.

Jesus taught that God is Spirit and Man is not. God is not just another spirit. Changing the scripture to say God is “A spirit” is like the Jehovah’s witnesses changing the Bible to say “the Word was a God.”  Before the coming of the Jesus, man never had his own spirit, except for a demonic spirit possibly.

“The” first “man”, Adam, “became a living soul;” the last Adam a life-giving Spirit. Gen. 2:7
But not the spiritual first, but the natural; afterward the spiritual.” 1Co 15:45-46.

Man was created as a soul having a body. It was this created kind of life that God breathed into his nostrils. It is false teaching that says all mankind have spiritual Life because the Bible says that God “breathed into his nostrils the BREATH of life; and man became a living soul” Gen.2:7. It is taught that because the word “breath” here is very similar to the Greek word pnuma:spirit that God gave Adam spiritual Life. But this was not written in Greek it was written in Hebrew. The kind of Life Adam received was soulish life. Search it out. This is the same kind of created life as the birds, fish and the beasts of the field.  To say that the life of Adam was in any way “spiritual” is to misconstrue the scriptures. And this false teaching is the foundation of the idea of universal reconciliation: that is that all men already have salvation and do not need to be born of God. If man had anything of spiritual life in the beginning God would never have said anything like,

“Stop regarding man, Whose breath is in his nostrils, For—in what is he accounted?” Isaiah 2:22.

Eternal Life is Spiritual Life. This Life is uncreated Life. Eternal Life is a completely different kind of life. Without coming to Him, we do not have life Jn. 5:39-40. Even though eternal Life is everlasting, it has no beginning. And even though eternal Life has no beginning, it does have an origin. God, is the Father of eternal Life. Yes, He is the creator of the soul of man, but this soul-life is a created kind of life. Eternal Life is not the permanent extension of created life.

The Word of God has makes an utter division between the Life of the Spirit and created, soulish, life of man. This division is the judgement of the cross. When the writer of Hebrews says, “The Word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart” Heb. 4:12. He is telling us that the cross of Christ has forever separated, the soulish man from the One New Man who is Spiritual. This judgement separates two men. The first is at his core a soul, it was me and you. We were rejected from reigning. The Second is the spiritual man, it is Jesus Christ.

In ignorance of full impact of the finished work of Christ, external religion depicts the cross as an example for men to follow so that you can be glorified by daily crucifing your evil nature through self discipline so that you can qualify for your own resurrection  some glad day. Here is the problem, this resurrection isn’t Jesus.

Its just you again?

“He that loveth his soul life shall lose it; and he that hateth his soul life in this world shall keep it unto Life eternal” Jn. 12:25

External religions version of new birth is said to be a second chance for you to live ” for God,” motivated by the good part of your soul , instead of facing the end of you and your self-centered heart.

But the last Adam ended of the whole race of Adam by crucifying his so called life and heart. The cross was our repentance from both our evil and our goodness. The cross not only demands the end of our life, it fulfilled that demand so that in Christ, we have repentance from living “for God”. Jesus of Nazareth came as “the Last Adam” to gather all men into the judgement of death.

Was the whole world judged in the cross? Jesus told us it was.

“Now is the judgment of this world; now is the ruler of this world cast out. If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all into Myself. But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die” John 12:32-33.

This is the Christ that the apostles declared.

“For the love of Christ constrains us, having judged this, that if One died for all, then the all died; and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised.” 2 Cor. 5:14-15

His coming affected all. All men, and all the world because the cross of Christ cut to heart. God gathered all the iniquity of our former father Adam and crucified all men in the one death.

“I have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom, Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said YHWH”….”And I have measured their former work into their bosom” Is. 65:6-7.

When it is said that “The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”1Sam.16:7, God is telling us that He has only ever seen two men: Adam and Jesus Christ. Because of the cross all Adam is dead to God. But the natural man is blind to this view. We would like to believe we are all special original, individuals, but this is just not true. We cannot “see the forest for the trees”.

Now there is only one relationship with God left to us, it is through the spirit of Jesus Christ.

“An hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such, the ones worshiping Him.
God is spirit, and the ones worshiping Him must worship in spirit and truth” John 4:24

The witness of man is only men seeing. The witness of God is greater because it is His eternal perspective in you. There is no spirituality except Jesus Christ living, seeing and animating His body. This spiritual Man is neither sin conscious or self conscious.

“When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two stones in his hand, he was not conscious that his face was shining.” Ex. 34:29 BBE

If you are seeing yourself you are looking at the wrong house, the wrong man, and the wrong witness.

“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, WHEN did we see you hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? And WHEN DID WE see You a stranger and welcome You, or naked and clothe You?” Mt. 25:35-38

Look at how these sheep are unaware that they are doing anything right or wrong. They are unaware that they were feeding Him, giving Him drink, clothing Him, visiting Him.

Look to Him.

The cross of Christ is the fulfillment of the destruction of the world in the days of the flood.

God said, “behold, I, even I, am bringing a flood of waters on the earth in order to destroy all FLESH in which is the BREATH OF LIFE from under the heavens. Everything which is on the earth shall die. And I will establish My covenant with you” Gen. 6:17-18

Notice how created life is associated with the “flesh” and this rejected life is described as the breath of life in the nostrils.

“ALL FLESH DIED that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and ALL MANKIND Everything on the dry land IN  WHOSE NOSTRILS WAS THE BREATH OF LIFE DIED” Gen7:21-22.

  Jesus is our true Noah.

The finished work of Christ has made a complete end of the life of the flesh for “all mankind.”

In the days of Noah, after the flood subsided, God made a rainbow as the sign of His Covenant with man. God said, “The rainbow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting Covenant between God and every living creature” Gen. 9:16. This rainbow testifies of the New Covenant in Christ. Before His coming, “the eyes of The Lord ran to and fro throughout the whole earth” 2Chron.16:9. “And I sought for a man among them.. but I found none” Ez. 22:30. As long as the eye of The Lord was on man, “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” Gen. 6:5. But when Jesus was come, God declared, “to this Man will I look” Is. 66:2. In this Covenant The Father has directed His focus so that it is Christ alone that fills His view. It is Christ alone that God has relationship with. If you are in Christ, God sees His Son. His eye is turned away from man because “The judgement of this world” and that of “all men” Jn.12:31-32 has been accomplished in the cross. Therefore His heart is no longer grieved, just as He said, “I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting Covenant” Gen. 9:16. So it is fulfilled, “to this Man only will I give my attention” Is. 66:2 BBE.

Certain conditions must be met before you can see a rainbow.

First of all you have to be in the light. You have to be standing in a position within the light before you can see it. If you are separate from the light, then you are in darkness. You will never see the glory of the waves of light. Also your gaze has to be fixed in the same direction that the light is shining. As long as you are looking at the light perpendicular to its direction of travel you will see nothing.

This is the witness of God: The Father has His eyes fixed on the Son.

This is the New Covenant.

“And I–this is My covenant with them, says YHWH: My Spirit.” Isaiah 59:21.

The witness of God is God’s own seeing of Christ, One New Man. This Man is salvation. He is in you. Salvation is “Not I but Christ” living in you Gal. 2:20. He alone is Resurrection Life. The Church is His resurrection Body, Now. One Spirit One Body One Hope. Fellowship is seeing this same One that God sees.

Who are you seeing?

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship One with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 Jn. 1:6-7

The Quiet

“So says YHWH, Heaven is My throne, and earth is my foot rest: what house will you make for me, and where is My resting-place? For all these things My hand has made, and they are Mine, YHWH says; but to this Man only have I given My attention, to Him who is poor and broken in spirit, fearing My word.

He who puts an ox to death, puts a man to death; he who makes an offering of a lamb, is [as] one who has beheaded a dog; he who makes a grain offering, makes an offering of pig’s blood; he who offers incense, worships an idol: They have gone after their own desires, and that soul takes pleasure in disgusting things.

So I go after trouble for them, and am sending on them what they fear: because none answered My voice, or gave ear to My word; but they did what was evil in My eyes, doing that which I took no pleasure in:” Isaiah 66:1-4 ELT.

Where is the place of His rest?

His rest has always been “One New Man”  in Jesus Christ, Eph. 2:15.
The temples were only models that testified of Christ being revealed in souls as the New Man.  The Body of Christ is One New Man. This is Jesus living is His people.

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall tabernacle with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” Rev. 21:3 ELT.

Seven centuries before the coming of Jesus, YHWH is telling us that He has never desired the ritual sacrifice of animals. The sacrifices and offerings were a testimony of His Son.

Why would the commanded things  be “disgusting” to Him?

This is the wrong question.

The right question is, “who makes these things disgusting?

Every work of the first man Adam is an expression motivated by sin and death. That whole race is rejected. It makes no difference how good his works may seem, He is the wrong man. The first man cannot see beyond the external. He is ignorant of the Divine One Who is the Fathers good pleasure. Being afflicted with self conscienceless, He can only see himself. So the natural man assumes as long as he is doing something that the law says is good, then he is good. This is why the natural soul loves rituals and religion.

It is an expression of self-love.

So the first kind of man is content just going through the motions of Christ, at the same time as He is rejecting His eternal Life. The love of self and religion cuts to the heart of why we crucified Him.

You may be thinking, “now wait just a minute, I didn’t crucify Him. If I were alive back then I would have been one of the good guys!”

Jesus taught that whenever we see our soul as good, outside of union with Christ, then it is evidence that we have actually refused the justification that is found in Christ, and we are guilty of self-justification. We are the Pharisee who said,

“If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31So you witness against yourselves that you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets. “- Jesus Mt. 23:30-33.

The truth is that whenever a man sees himself inherently good, this is the wrong man. The father of this man is the serpent. The only remedy for this man was the cross.

Jesus is the “One New Man” that the Testaments speaks of. When “YHWH says; but to this Man only will I give My attention.” (Some translations may read “this One” But “this One” is masculine in the Hebrew so ‎יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶל should read: “this Man.” For example: ACV, ASV, BBE, KJV).

This is the Spirit of Christ in you. If you are born of God, He is in you. This passage is not about you conforming your soul into an imitation of God’s Man. Your soul has been put to death in the cross and now Christ is risen in you as your Life. Your soul was made empty and void to be filled with the right Man. Until the Father reveals Him in you, we all just assume it is our responsibility imitate the righteousness of God. Until we see Him, we will lean on our own understanding, and in our ignorance, we turn the works, and rituals that pointed toward His beautiful Son, into things of horror.

The Putting an Ox to death, the offering of a lamb, burning incense and making grain offerings were acts prescribed by the law of Moses, just like the Ten Commandments these laws pointed us to the coming of the spirit of Christ, not man’s attempts at being Christ-like. Today there are other ways the man tries to imitate Life. Monks make vows of silence, Quakers wait in silence. As the sacrifices of animals flesh has evolved into offerings of Adam’s fleshly energies, they are still loud and disgusting in His sight.

When Moses made the tabernacle, He made it in accord with likeness the eternal Son of God that He saw on the mountain. It is written,

“All [His] likeness [whom] I am making you see, the tabernacle, even the instruments, all [His] likeness you shall make.” Ex. 25:9 ELT.

The “all” here is also masculine in Hebrew. The word that speaks of a Son who is “all” is also found inall these things My hand has made, and they are Mine” Isaiah 66:2 ELT.

Jesus is the “[male] all.” The Father was seeing His beloved Son in the tabernacle, priesthood, and the offerings,  When He says “they are Mine” God was saying,

“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Mt. 3:17

Moses didn’t see a blue print for the temple on the mountain, he saw Jesus. The is the same Jesus that John saw on the island of Patmos.

Moses saw the holy of Holies in His face. His eyes were the pillar of fire that gave them light in the darkness. And His hair is as white as the cloud that overshadowed them sheltering them from the heat of the desert sun.

He saw His heart is the true holy place chest is the gird with a golden lamp stand, table and altar.

He looked on His bronze feet that are our true altar and laver. Moses did not just look on plans for a temple but He saw the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb is the Person who is the “all” of the temple, Rev.21:22.

Moses saw YHWH as I AM that I AM. He faced the One Who reigns in the soul. Jesus is the One.

“The one who loves his life loses it, and the one who hates his life in this world will keep it to everlasting life.” Jn.12:25

He lives not so we can live to ourselves, but Him Who created your soul to be inhabited with, possessed by, and filled with I AM. Not a soul living out from self, saying, I AM. But the cross of Christ has made the soul crucified with Christ. This soul says “NOT I, but Christ lives in me”

As the Resurrection Jesus says “I have set my self and have quieted my soul, like one weaned from its mother is my soul on me” Ps. 131:2.

This alone is truly living. The soul is quiet and yet the Spirit roars.

“I AM THAT I AM,

I AM not that you can be anymore,

I AM THAT I AM.

Then I turned to see that voice and I saw the the person of the cross, the One Who is All.

I place my hand over my mouth.

My soul has come into the quiet.
