Above Dystopia

No gentle touch or kiss could wake me from the slumber

Until I realized self had held me under

Pilgrimaging in a world, never quite awake.

Being held, in some dreaming state

Then I heard thunder and saw lightning crack

Above the world waking never to go back.

Dawns flashing east to west,

the darkness torn wide open,

And finally the spell was broken

And there He was.

Born with wings, The New

The Man, the House, all creation in its Creator.

I felt it through His fists, in my feet, behind my eyelids

Shaking through my skull, through my spine and ribs.

All my bones began to shake,

my hearts eyes were quickened

Heaven and earth were taken,

my eyes flew open

No more dreams of the dead seeing death itself undone

No more calling like a ghost for a home, for a body in a garden

No more dreaming like the lost so in love, with the wrong world.

No more imagining the One spoken of in a scroll.

I heard thunder and

saw lightning crack

Above the world I was waking,

Never to go back.

Dawns flashing east to west, the darkness torn wide open

And finally the spell was broken
