The Lamb of God

As with all the Law, the feast of Passover was in God’s perspective a Premorial of the work of Christ. If you will allow for a new word to be coined, a Premorial would be a prophetic memorial to a past work of God; Who’s main purpose actually pointed forward to the coming of His Son in the future. The Passover was instituted by God in memorial of their great deliverance out of Egypt, when the destroying angel killed all the firstborn of Egypt, and in one night passed over all the Israelites houses, whose doors were “striked” with the blood of the Lamb slain and the Lamb was eaten inside the house.

“Dip ye a bundle of hyssop, in the blood which is IN THE THRESHOLD” Ex. 12:22.

How is it that the blood was “in the threshold”?

In the land of Goshen, their houses were built with a kind of gutter under the door so that if there was rain it would not come under the door into the house. So, at the first Passover, the blood was poured out “in the threshold” of the door and they dipped Hyssop in the blood and struck the door with the hyssop.

This became a premorial testimony of Jesus, who shed blood from His feet, hands and His crown. So also the door was anointed with blood in all four places, as also the four horns of the altar.

Most English translators have used the word “basin” instead of “threshold” here, Since later it became custom for Israel to pour the blood into bowls at the Passover. But in looking up the Hebrew the word, 05592 סף – saf: from 05605, its meaning conveys a sense of containing. This word refers to threshold of a door 24 times and a bowl only 4 times in the KJV.

The Septuagint (an ancient Greek translation of the Old Testament) says “The blood which is “OF”– 3844 “THE”– 3588 “DOOR” -2374, confirming that the blood of the Lamb is also literally the Blood “of the Door” since it anointed the door in all four places originally. This also points us to the Life of the One would become the fulfillment of the door. In His coming Jesus said,

“Truly truly, I say to you—I am the Door” Jn 10:7

And though the sign of the cross was so vividly depicted on their door, His people are not to fix their eyes in the external sign, and not on our temporal deliverance from slavery; but that door calls for eyes of faith to look on Him, the true Lamb of God, by whom the wrath of God passes over all those who have passed through His death and judgment, into Christ Himself. Just as Jesus said.

“I am The Door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved”, Jn.10:9

He is the the cross and Door into the house of God, having our hearts sprinkled with His blood, by true faith we are to follow Him, passing through His death and having entered into His Life, where we feed on Him.

It is amazing how this has become a message about how Jesus died so we can live unto ourselves when the testimony clearly shows Israel participating in the death of the Lamb by passing through a blood stained cross on the door entering into the house of God and eating the Lamb of God.
The second half of this verse reads…

“…None of you shall go out of the door of His house until the morning” Ex. 4:22.

Here they were to abide until the dawning of The Day. This is about standing still, resting, until Jesus Christ is revealed in you. Peter says “till the Day dawns in your heart,” 2 Pe.1:19. Paul describes the revelation of Christ to be the fulfillment of the first light of the day of creation.

“God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” 2 Cor. 4:6.

This is why YHWH caused the ninth plague to be darkness so that the dawning of the Passover would also testify of the Light of Christ in you, The Dawning of the New Creation Day of The Lord. This is the day of Salvation in which the Lamb is the Light.

We come to see and live in and by His eternal Light, so that there is “no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” Rev. 21:23

The Passover was such a living portrayal of Christ that it makes the heart cry out, O foolish Israel, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified?

But we are as blind as they. At this time there are myriads of messages in Churches about how His blood has enabled us to escape from death.

But this is not the Truth. This is not the way the Father sees the cross. It is written,

“We thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead” 2 Cor. 5:14.

The witnesses of the first Passover had no testimony of escaping from death that night. They saw that they all had actually passed through death itself, and so it is written,

“The Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, WE BE ALL DEAD men” Ex. 12:33 KJV.

Unless The Father enlighten the eyes of our understanding and give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him we also will miss the reality of the Passover. The Door urges us to enter into his death, rest and abide in the substance of the Fathers house till the Day of The Lord. Jesus Christ is our true shelter. The shadow can only be “kept” by truly living and abiding in His substance.

“Dip ye a bundle of hyssop.” The hyssop is the faith of the Son of God.

The bare hands of man do not touch the blood of the Lamb. And so also we do not believe into Him through our own determination or fleshly energies.

This finished work was the work of God. It is not the work of man.

‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish ALL My good pleasure’; Isaiah 46:10 NASB

In Christ you are without spot or blemish. You are unleavened. So purge out the old rejected Adam because “ye are unleavened.”

“Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the feast, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and Truth.” 1 Cor. 5:7-8 ESV

There is nothing left undone for you finish or perfect. Therefore live and move and have your being in Him, Abide in Him and in His absolute perfection.

In the Passover we see the whole Gospel of grace and salvation by the cross of Jesus Christ. In the choice of sacrifice, in its preparation, in the shedding of blood, in anointing the door with the blood, and in the eating of the Lamb.

In the Sacrifice:
The Father appointed that it be a Lamb or a kid to testify of the nature and character of Jesus. His innocence, patience, meekness, and humility.

“Consider Him…. Consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself,” Heb. 12:3.

His obedience to the Father was unto death “He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He opens not His mouth.” Is. 53:7.

He gave Himself as a Lamb. He gave His flesh to feed us. He gave His own righteousness as a fleece a more pure white than the snow, to clothe us.

Just as in the foundation of the world it was written,

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them” Gen.3:21.

In the cross, the person of Salvation was glorified. The cross was the outward manifestation of the very Life and nature of Jesus Christ. He is the “Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Rev. 13:8

“For 1,400 years after the first Passover out of Egypt, the Passover lambs carried a little name tag of their owners before the Passover sacrifice. They had to keep the lamb for four days before the sacrifice. The tag would hang around the neck of the lamb; it was tied with a red cord” -Richard Samuel

“Just like the Jews put their family name on their lamb for sacrifice at the Temple, God put His name on His Lamb for His family, which includes you and me” The Lamb, Yahweh- Michael Norten.

In the last post we looked at the inscription that was nailed to the cross, and how It bore the Name of YHWH. Now consider how that Titulus was first hung on His neck.

The inscription of the crime with which one crucified was accused was called a “Titulus” in Latin. In the section called “the trilingual titulus crucis tradition” of the book… “It would normally be hung around the neck”– The Embroidered Bible: Studies in Biblical Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha in Honour of Michael E. Stone: Studia in Veteris Testamenti Pseudepigrapha, Volume: 26 The Trilingual titulus crucis Tradition in Oxford, Bodleian Library, Hatton 20 by Daniel Anlezark – Page 4. E-Book ISBN:9789004357211 Publisher:Brill January 2017

“Verse 37. – Set up over his head his accusation written. This was the titulus.”… “This, which had been hung round the criminal’s neck or carried before him on the way to execution, was now affixed to the upper portion of the cross over his head.” Pulpit Commentary Mt. 27:37

May He turn our hearts to see how Jesus is The Lamb of God given for the House of YHWH. What Pilate meant for evil God meant for our Good. Have you come to be washed in the blood of the lamb? May we come. Come in through His death. Come and rest in the House of YHWH. Come and eat the lamb completely.

Do we understand the priceless value by the blood of The Lamb?

“You were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your foolish behavior received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” 1Peter 1:18-19

Do we prize the blood of the Jesus?

Consider the infinite worth of His blood; In that it was able to purchase the whole Church of God, which a thousand worlds of gold could not. There is no wealth in heaven or on earth that could redeem one single soul. But His blood has bought redemption for all out from sin and death.
What was bought with His blood?

His blood has purchased more than your acquittal from guilt. But the blood has caused His very own righteousness and favor to be imputed to you in Christ.

Jesus is the One “Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God” Rom. 3:25

And so the Apostle John writes how the saints have “washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb”. Rev. 7:14

There is not one treasure on earth that could have prepared a place for you in the Fathers Love, which is better than life, except the blood of Jesus. In His Love there is no lack or want. But the full supply of everything needed for both life and godliness. His blood is true wealth because it is His eternal Life.

The blood of the lamb has forever purchased perfection for His Body, the Church.

“For by one offering He has perfected for all time them that are being sanctified”. Heb. 10:14

His blood has made the way for you into a New Covenant relationship with God.

“Without shedding of blood is no remission of sin. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us” Heb. 9:22-24

The blood of the covenant even speaks when we don’t know how we ought to pray but the Spirit intercedes for us, as well as His blood since “The life”.. “is in the blood” Lev. 17:11. You have not come to some created thing but to a Life that pleads for us, In Christ you have been placed in Zion, so you are come unto “Jesus, and to the blood of sprinkling, SPEAKING better things than that of Abel.” Heb.12:24

“And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after he has said, This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; then says He , And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” Heb. 10:15-18

And so the writer of Hebrews goes on to explain that it is the blood of Jesus Christ that has made ACCESS into Christ Himself and into His pure relationship of favor with the Father.

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest of holy BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, by the way which He dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; and having a great High priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: ” Heb. 10:14

His blood has rent the veil in two and made the way into the Holy of holies giving entrance into the kingdom of heaven and into an unveiled face that we may behold His Glory. Without this blood the Lord dwells “in the light which no man can approach ; whom no man has seen, nor can see”1 Tim.6:16.

His blood is the one key which unlocks heaven by which,
We have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have the access by the faith into this grace in which we stand.”Rom.5:1-2

“In whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him” Eph 3:12. His Blood has purchased peace with God the Father and reconciliation in that, we which were far off “were made near by the blood of Christ”.
The blood of the Covenant has purchased victory over all the enemy even satan who,
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Re 12:11

If there was such power in the blood of a lamb “striked” on their doors on the first Passover so that the Israelites lay safe within their houses untouched by the angel of death, how much more can we trust in the blood of Jesus Christ to cover believers in His name from the hand of God because of our trespasses and sins? So the Blood of Christ (our true Passover) has bought immunity and safety from all the judgment and dangers threatened against us because of our own sin.

Do we see the blood of Jesus Christ as a common thing?

Do we undervalue Him by not considering His matchless worth of His blood? Many look at His blood as insufficient for salvation. So many think it necessary for man to add his own righteousness. As if the sweat of Adam’s brow needed to be mixed together with the blood of the Lamb? By underestimating the true wealth of His blood many are carried away into a prosperity gospel. A false gospel promoting natural success as evidence of the favor of God. It is an empty pursuit stemming out from an ignorance of true wealth and value. There can be no boasting in our comfort or acceptance in the presence of The One “despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces” Isaiah 53:3. By adding financial gain, comfortable circumstances and gifts of tithes of corruptible things, to a salvation that is already complete and perfect; they assume that His death is not enough to extinguish the sinful nature, and continue to attempt to crucify again their own flesh by fleshly energies. And so the fleecing God’s flock is covered up in the religious garb of “spiritual disciplines”. No. Not one drop of the sweat of Adam will fall within the same creation as the blood of the Lamb. By His death and resurrection “out from among the dead” Jesus Christ has sanctified Himself from the world of man. So that there is now no relationship with God in earth except between The Father and Christ in you.

The blood of Christ is so precious that we are to take heed against profaning or sinning against it. Consider the punishment that he is worthy of who would tread….
“under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?” Heb. 10:29

So stand fast in this grace and do not trespass out from Christ in any attempt to produce another grace of your own. None of this is about finding a shiny new scriptural principle, or getting our theology squared away. Neither is this some attempt to persuade you to adopt some kind of “Hebraic view of the Messiah;” It is about the Eternal Gospel. God Himself is preaching this Gospel. It is about knowing and experiencing the Son Whom God has declared from the beginning. He is in you. Turn to Him. Trust in Him to reveal Himself to you and in you. God Himself has declared His Son in all these laws, rituals, types, and shadows. The eternal gospel does not have man as its source. And it is not taught by Man. It more precious than gold. The Holy Spirit has been revealing Jesus in a way that gives a new depth of meaning to the most legalistic passages in the Bible: the words of Moses. I write these things to show you some evidence that He is still revealing His Son in a direct way. Write you that you can know that His Love is in His Son, And that He has played you in His great love. His love is far bigger than we know. There is far more value in knowing the heart of God in true relationship of prayer trust and waiting for His appearing than by reading books or attending seminars. He is your Eternal Inheritance. Abide in Him until the light of this full day dawns.
