Where Are You?

“Where are you?” Gen. 3:9

Of course, He knew where they were. It was a rhetorical question.

They were lost in their own perception of themselves. They had fallen away from seeing Him. They were in their their own coverings. They were where they could not see the One Who was their source. They had begun looking to another father, and another likeness. They had turned and fallen out from being the testimony of Him, into self effort and self consciousness.

“Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh?” Gal. 3:3 LITV.

They began as a testimony of the finished work. They were created in the image of Him. Even though they were not spirit, they did bear the likeness of Christ crucified. On the sixth day, on a friday. Adam was placed into a sleep like death. A hole was made in his side. And what came out from Adam? His own increase came forth in this resurrection. Eve was of him. She was created in the image of Christ’s body, the Church. She is already of Him.

The Church has no other increase to produce. She is His increase.

Both Adam and Eve were created in the image of Christ in His death and resurrection.

Where are you? You are in Christ. You have come beyond the testimony. You have come to partake of the tree of Life. So abide in Him and He will abide in you, and you will bear fruit. This fruit is of Him. It is the increase of One.

Their first day on earth was the sabbath. As long as they remained in His Word they knew freedom.

“In the image of God created He him” Gen. 1:27

They never lacked His likeness. They were a finished work. They began in His rest.

Not until they took it upon themselves to improve on perfection.

Where are you?
